Heart Earrings in Pear Green Copper Enamel.  Layers of enameling glass (glass finer then sugar) is sifted onto the copper surface then fired  with a torch until fused and glossy. Enamel on the back called “counter enamel” lessens the likelihood of warping when firing  by balancing the weight of the glass on the front surface which also  lessens the likelihood of cracking.  Three layers of glass was fired on the backside and four layers of pear green glass on the front. 
Gold filled ear wires.  Earrings dangle about 1.25” . Lightweight 24 gauge copper.  Treat as glass.
