Fine Silver Tomato Leaf earrings. These earrings were created by painting layers of fine silver metal paste onto an actual tomato leaf from my garden. Approximately 5-6 layers are applied. When the piece is completely dried it is fired with a torch. The leaf catches fire and then burns out the metal clay leaving the fine silver with the impression of the front/backside of the actual leaf. The leaves are then placed in a tumbler to help with the shine, then polishing is done. Sterling silver ear wires. These leaves are from my garden in Spokane, WA.
