Lightweight, 24 gauge copper ovals patterned with the fibers from the prickly pear cactus.  The copper is "annealed" which softens the metal.  The copper was then placed on the dry fibers of the prickle pear and hand cranked through a rolling mill which applies pressure transferring the pattern onto the metal surface.  A patina was applied to highlight the details, sealed for longevity and paired with hypoallergenic niobium bronze ear wires.
