Air chasing involves heating the copper to soften it and hammering with various tools to create the craters to achieve the desired appearance.  

Cobalt blue enamel was added and torch fired to add character to these earrings.  The enameling glass is sifted using a fine mesh sifter then fired with a torch or a kiln.  Layers of glass are reapplied until the desired look is achieved.
